Why I turned in my Sperry's and Seven jeans for stilettos and power suits and never looked back on a life that wasn't aligning with my dreams and goals.

In November of 2021, I turned in my Steve Madden pumps and walked out of the show ring as a photographer.

During the year after graduation I worked on perfecting my craft and working with the best mentors I could ask for. 

Later that year I received an opportunity to help photograph at a major stock show. Being someone who had always dreamt of checking that off my list, immediately I said yes.

I was 24 working at the top of my game. Traveling to new places every month, going on 6 week long trips, and creating the most spectacular images of some of the best livestock at some of the biggest shows in the nation.  

I thought I was thriving and living my dream. Hell, I had checked off every bucket list show. 

I had made it, until I realized what I gave up to climb that mountain.

My phone calls and texts to family and friends consisted of “my plane is taking off,” “landed,” “finally back at the hotel after a 15 hour day.” My portrait business was virtually nonexistent anymore because of my crazy travel schedule and not having the energy to keep up with the social media marketing anymore.

I was missing out on milestones left and right with my family, and I sat in a hotel room remembering the conversation I’d had with Luke, promising to not throw away everything I’d worked so hard to build in my portrait business to pursue this short lived dream.

So, I quit and I almost made the decision to hang up my gear once and for all. 

Fast forward to May of 2022, I slipped into my beloved black heels and went back to work on building my business the RIGHT way!

I fell back in love with my craft and the passion I once had to create lifelong memories with the best clients in the world quickly returned. 

Now, I am redefining my business, striving to be the best photographer I can be, but more importantly now I am the CEO I always envisioned myself as. 

This is me, re-writing my story, and creating the life I’ve always dreamed of living, and I am so excited to share this new adventure with all of you.  I can promise, it's going to be the best one yet!
